China's Mung Bean Imports Maintain Easy Tone

PANAMA - Aug 8/24 - SNS -- Imports of mung beans by China were little changed, dropping relative to the previous month in June, official trade data from General Customs Administration of China reports.

Total imports in the month amounted to 66,675 metric tons (MT), down 13% from the previous month's total of 77,001. So far imports have amounted to 338,888 MT, down from 374,614 during the last calendar year.

The number one origin throughout the month was Myanmar, shipping 41,796 MT. Australia was the second most important export origin shipping 14,323 MT, followed by Uzbekistan at 5,349 MT.
