PANAMA - Aug 6/24 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year kept up a softer tone, with field pea exports for Canada were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in June, judging from available data from Statistics Canada.
Movement totalled 50,452 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 58% from the 118,994 MT shipped the previous month. Shipments so far total 2,381,095 MT, versus 2,404,224 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Recent movement data showed Bangladesh was number one consumer, buying 13,682 MT during the month. India was the second most important destination receiving 10,403 MT, followed by United States at 7,507 MT.
