Australia's Lentils Exports Post Improved Performance
PANAMA - Jul 4/24 - SNS -- Shipments of lentilss from Australia were up significantly, rising versus the previous month in May, data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Export sales for the month totalled 139,011 metric tons (MT), up from 112,602 MT the previous month. This increased exports so far during the marketing year to 982,117, down 9% last year.
The latest trade data showed India was largest buyer, receiving 65,529 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important importer taking 39,457 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 14,617 MT.
