PANAMA - Sep 22/23 - SNS --North American birdseed markets remained mixed during the past week on contrasting supply concerns in Canada and the United States.
Canaryseed continued to strengthen, while white proso millet was steady on the week and oil sunflower seed eased.
The U.S. Baesed National Sunflower Association noted, "Trading in the week ahead will focus on the USDA Grain Stocks report (due on September 29). Traders are expecting sunflower seed stocks to be up significantly from a year ago and the five-year average after last yearâs large crop."
