Spain's Field Pea Imports Reveal Weak Performance
PANAMA - Sep 16/23 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for Spain posted significant declines, slumping relative to the previous month in July, recent data from Eurostat shows.
Total imports for the month amounted to 66,229 metric tons (MT), down 22% from the previous month's total of 84,794. So far imports have totalled 267,655 MT, up from 28,123 during the last calendar year.
The most recent movement statistics showed Russia was top origin, supplying 65,303 MT. France was the second most important exporter selling 840 MT, followed by Canada at 48 MT.
