PANAMA - Sep 16/23 - SNS -- Spain's imports of confection sunflowers in July posted significant declines, slumping versus the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.
Total imports throughout the month amounted to 27,448 metric tons (MT), down 34% from the previous month's total of 41,714. So far imports have amounted to 206,689 MT, down from 240,942 in the same period the last calendar year.
The number one origin during the month was France, shipping 12,827 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important export origin shipping 11,971 MT, followed by China at 2,038 MT.
