Some Easing In Lentils
PANAMA - May 12/23 - SNS -- Spot lentil markets finished the week's unchanged to slightly easier as attention begins shifting to new crop.
The week started with an estimated 11% of Canada's intended area in the ground and 26% in the United States. Weather during the past week was unusually hot in large parts of the growing area, which may have allowed growers to make significant planting progress.
Markets are keen to see the June seeded area estimates for both Canada and the United States in order to get a better sense of this year's North American production potential.
