Field Pea Imports By Turkey Start On Strong Note
PANAMA - Mar 28/23 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of field peas in January leapt versus the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
The most recent data showed imports during the month totalled 60,792 metric tons (MT), up 101% from 30,190 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, imports are up 731% from 7,319 MT.
During the month, Lithuania was the top supplier, shipping 36,642 MT. Russia was the second most important origin shipping 14,903 MT, followed by Ukraine at 8,807 MT.
