Mustard Spreads Remain High

PANAMA - Mar 10/23 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets continued to decline during the past week as markets worry land in the crop could expand to levels whih would create a supply burden during the 2023-24 marketing year.

Average bids were off on the week, with the upper range of prices offered to farmers for No 1 Canada farmers dressed mustard declining 5% for all classes to CDN 95 cents per pound for farmers dressed product delivered western Canadian cleaning plants.

Residual stocks of all classes of mustard seed re expected to fall to unusually low levels by the end of the current marketing year.
