Beans Continue Sideways

PANAMA - Mar 10/23 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their sideways tone in seasonally light trading during the past week.

This was reflected in the U.S. dry edible bean price index, which was unchanged on the week to close at 100.8. Stronger gains were posted in other markets. In contrast, the global pulse price index gained 0.9 points to close at 102.9 while the Canadian index advanced 2.0 points to finish at 103.7.

Markets are looking forward to the USDA seeding intentions report, due on March 31. The reports only considers state level intentions for dry edible beans in nine states.
