PANAMA - Mar 8/23 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of green lentils in January sank compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
The most recent data showed export sales during the month totalled 19,572 metric tons (MT), down 45% from 35,497 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, export sales are up 13% from 164,245 MT.
In the month, United Arab Emirates was the biggest destination, buying 3,814 MT. Morocco was the second most important buyer buying 2,043 MT, followed by Algeria at 1,655 MT.
