Chickpeas Largely Unchanged
PANAMA - Mar 3/23 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were little changed during the past week, with several countries such as Canada and India reporting strong export movement through the end of December.
Canada's exports for the five months spanning August through December reached a record 91,484 metric tons (MT), accounting for 71% of last year's harvest and 49% of its available supply.
Shipments from the United States during the same period reached 31,000 MT, up from 24,300 the previous season, but less than half the previous five year average.
