Birdseed Markets Mixed
PANAMA - Mar 3/23 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets were mixed in seasonally light trading during the past week.
While Canadian canaryseed was generally steady in both spot and new crop shipping positions, while white proso millet values declined in both grower and inter-dealer markets.
Confection sunflower was unchanged on the week, while oil type markets were mixed. Commenting on market conditions, the U.S. based National Sunflower Association noted, "Nearby prices were unchanged to up 75 cents with new crop unchanged this week at the crush plants."
