New crop remains heavily discounted to spot markets, reflecting relatively strong interest among growers in growing mustard this year.

Ideas about where seeded area will end up continue to occupy a wide range. The USDA seeding intentions report does not include data on possible mustard seed area in that country, with the result markets need to wait for the April 26 Canadian intentions report to get a sense of potential plantings.
