Field Pea Imports By Spain Extend Weak Trend
PANAMA - Feb 21/23 - SNS -- Imports of field peas by Spain sank compared to the previous month in December, the latest data from Eurostat shows.
Imports for the month totalled 4,128 metric tons (MT), down from 5,988 MT the prior month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 68,802, down 43% last year.
Russia was the top exporter, supplying 3,194 MT. France was the second most important shipper supplying 793 MT, followed by Canada at 116 MT.
