Turkey's Field Pea Imports Sustain Solid Trend
PANAMA - Jan 30/23 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for Turkey posted decent increases, moving versus the previous month in November, data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Imports for the month reached 80,172 metric tons (MT), up from 68,409 MT the prior month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 461,030, up 146% last year.
The most important export origin for the month was Russia, supplying 47,757 MT. Ukraine was the second most important export origin selling 29,886 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 1,011 MT.
