PANAMA - Jan 5/23 - SNS -- Movement of lentils from Canada leapt versus the previous month in November, official data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Exports totalled 279,524 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 72% from the 162,842 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 838,906 MT, compared to 653,757 during the last marketing year.
The most recent trade data showed Turkey was top consumer, receiving 81,714 MT. India was the second most important destination buying 69,764 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 37,333 MT.
