Canada's Green Lentil Exports Reveal Slow Performance
PANAMA - Jan 5/23 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year recorded a easier performance, with green lentil export shipments from Canada eased compared to the previous month in November, according to trade data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales during the month totalled 34,965 metric tons (MT), down from 38,327 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the marketing year to 130,539, up 8% last year.
The largest buyer throughout the month was Colombia, taking 4,221 MT. Algeria was the second most important buyer buying 3,795 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 3,385 MT.
