Australia's Chickpea Exports Maintain Weak Tendency

PANAMA - Dec 8/22 - SNS -- Movement of chickpeas from Australia were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in October, available data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.

Total shipments during the month reached 62,529 metric tons (MT), down 8% from the previous month's total of 68,252. So far movement has amounted to 609,173 MT, down from 878,826 during the previous marketing year.

Recent movement statistics showed Pakistan was most important consumer, taking 42,409 MT in the month. United Arab Emirates was the second most important destination buying 9,497 MT, followed by Nepal at 3,847 MT.
