Field Pea Exports From Canada Reveal Slow Performance
PANAMA - Dec 6/22 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year posted a easier performance, with field pea shipments for Canada sank compared to the previous month in October, judging from official data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments for the month totalled 328,623 metric tons (MT), down from 465,989 MT the previous month. This lifted export sales so far during the marketing year to 866,349, up 5% last year.
Recent movement statistics showed China was top consumer, taking 225,082 MT for the month. Cuba was the second most important consumer receiving 25,000 MT, followed by Pakistan at 24,391 MT.
