Lentil Exports From Canada Continue Weak Tendency

PANAMA - Dec 6/22 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of lentils during October were well down, plunging versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.

Movement for the month totalled 162,835 metric tons (MT), down from 279,636 MT the previous month. This increased movement so far during the marketing year to 559,374, down 2% last year.

In the month, India was the top destination, receiving 47,795 MT. Turkey was the second most important consumer receiving 29,912 MT, followed by Pakistan at 12,207 MT.
