Canada's Red Lentil Exports Extend Weak Tendency

PANAMA - Dec 6/22 - SNS -- Shipments of red lentils from Canada fell versus the previous month in October, official trade data from Statistics Canada reports.

Shipments totalled 83,708 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 60% from the 210,785 MT shipped the previous month. Shipments so far total 351,707 MT, compared to 386,923 in the same period the last marketing year.

India was the biggest destination for the month, buying 37,207 MT. Other was the second most important consumer taking 24,348 MT, followed by Pakistan at 8,832 MT.
