PANAMA - Dec 6/22 - SNS -- Export shipments of yellow peas from Canada sank compared to the previous month in October, official data from Statistics Canada reports.
Total movement throughout the month amounted to 268,434 metric tons (MT), down 36% from the previous month's total of 421,476. So far exports have totalled 718,251 MT, up from 652,736 during the last marketing year.
The largest buyer during the month was China, receiving 204,116 MT. Cuba was the second most important buyer taking 25,000 MT, followed by Pakistan at 24,084 MT.
