Mustard Maintain Firm Tone

PANAMA - Nov 11/22 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets maintained their firm tone during the past week as growers remain watchful og values, with many thinking they will improve as the season advances.

Bids to farmers in western Canada were unchanged on the week for all classes of mustard seed. In U.S. dollar terms, however, both yellow and oriental advanced 1% on the week on account of changes in the value of the Canadian dollar.

Markets believe processors are currently rebuilding supplies after last year's drought reduced harvests, suggesting that once this extra demand is removed there is some potential for spot markets to ease.
