Beans Finish Somewhat Mixed

PANAMA - Oct 28/22 - SNS -- With the virtual completion of the North American harvest, dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a somewhat mixed note, reflecting increased grower selling interest..

This saw the U.S. dry edible bean price index lose 1.0 points during the week to close at 99.1. By contrast, the global pulse price index advanced 0.8 points on the week to close at 100.3 while the Canadian index was inched up 0.2 points to 100.3.

Markets are not troubled by the underlying supply fundamentals and remain optimistic about the demand potential in destinations such as Mexico, expected relatively strong disappearance of most classes of beans.
