Mustard Holds Steady
PANAMA - Oct 28/22 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets maintained their firm tone during the past week as growers remain unwilling to support steep price declines from the previous marketing year.
Offers to growers for all classes of mustard range up to over CDN $1 per pound for farmers dressed product delivered western Canadian processing plants.
Prices were also firmer in U.S. dollar terms, though the season to date average remains below average prices offered during the 2021-22 marketing campaign for both brown and yellow mustard, but higher for oriental.
