WASHINGTON - Oct 12/22 - SNS -- Pecan production is forecast at 291 million pounds, up 14% from 2021, according to the latest USDA estimates.
Improved varieties are expected to produce 282 million pounds or 97% of the total. The native and seedling varieties are expected to produce 8.30 million pounds, making up the remaining 3% of production.
