Australia's Chickpea Exports Continue Weak Tone
PANAMA - Oct 6/22 - SNS -- Australia's export shipments of chickpeas in August eased versus the previous month, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total export sales throughout the month amounted to 37,003 metric tons (MT), down 4% from the previous month's total of 38,677. So far shipments have amounted to 482,307 MT, down from 757,726 during the last marketing year.
Recent trade data revealed Pakistan was largest importer, taking 29,172 MT for the month. Nepal was the second most important destination buying 2,605 MT, followed by Canada at 1,651 MT.
