Mustard Ignores Production Estimate
PANAMA - Sep 2/22 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets paid little attention to first preliminary estimate of the Canadian crop.
Statistics Canada's preliminary production estimate, based on conditions through July 31, pegged this year's harvest at almost 196,000 metric tons (MT) from 554,700 acres.
This is a dramatic improvement over last year's 69,300 MT harvest from 338,200 acres, and the recent five year average of 128,300 MT from, 383,120 acres.
