Mustard Calmly Transitions To New Crop

PANAMA - Aug 5/22 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets calmly made the transition into the 2022-23 marketing year, with values little changed over the week in seasonally light trading interest.

However, Canada's export performance remains a surprise, with shipments between August and June pushing past 100,000 metric tons (MT), suggesting they will at end up between 103,000 nd 106,000 MT by the end of the marketing year.

Given estimated domestic usage for the 2021-22 marketing year and what was believed to eh opening season supply, Canada would end the season with negative ending stocks of at least 4,600 MT.
