Lentil Exports From Canada Continue Easy Trend
PANAMA - Aug 4/22 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year continued a softer trend, with lentil exports from Canada posted significant declines, slumping relative to the previous month in June, judging from the most recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Total export sales for the month reached 186,376 metric tons (MT), down 25% from the previous month's total of 248,547. So far movement has reached 1,485,608 MT, down from 2,183,398 during the last marketing year.
The latest trade statistics revealed Turkey was biggest buyer, buying 74,030 MT. India was the second most important buyer receiving 39,609 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 14,593 MT.
