PANAMA - Aug 4/22 - SNS -- Exports of red lentils for Canada were well down, plunging versus the previous month in June, official trade data from Statistics Canada shows.
Total exports for the month reached 130,211 metric tons (MT), down 32% from the previous month's total of 190,816. So far exports have amounted to 918,825 MT, down from 1,394,120 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The largest buyer throughout the month was Turkey, taking 72,511 MT. India was the second most important importer receiving 38,324 MT, followed by Pakistan at 9,678 MT.
