Sunflower Seed Imports By Turkey Post Improved Result
PANAMA - Jul 25/22 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds for Turkey were up significantly, rising relative to the previous month in May, trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shows.
Total imports in the month amounted to 54,305 metric tons (MT), up 55% from the previous month's total of 34,995. So far imports have totalled 189,272 MT, down from 541,893 during the last calendar year.
During the month, Ukraine was the most important exporter, supplying 35,286 MT. Other was the second most important supplier supplying 13,475 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 2,136 MT.
