Oil-type Sunflower Exports From Romania Reveal Slow Month

PANAMA - Jul 20/22 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year recorded a weaker month, with oil-type sunflower movement from Romania shrank compared to the previous month in May, judging from available statistics from Eurostat.

Exports during the month totalled 1,510 metric tons (MT), down from 57,812 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the calendar year to 446,209, up 78% last year.

The latest trade data showed Turkey was largest buyer, buying 1,510 MT. Canada was the second most important importer buying 1 MT, followed by Norway at 0 MT.
