WASHINGTON - Jul 12/22 - SNS -- Oat production in the United States is expected to total 52.6 million bushels, up 32% from last year, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates.
Growers expect to harvest 796,000 acres for grain, unchanged from the previous forecast and up 22% from 2021. Based on conditions as of July 1, the United States yield is forecast at 66.1 bushels per acre, 4.8 bushels above the 2021 average yield. A record high yield is expected in North Dakota.
