WASHINGTON - Jul 12/22 - SNS -- The 2022 apricot crop is forecast at 36,200 tons, down 13% from last year, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates.
In California, growers in some areas reported yield reduction due to frost damage and dry conditions. In Washington, there were wide-spread reports of freeze damage caused by an artic jet stream that lasted for about two weeks in the spring of the year.
