WASHINGTON - Jun 30/22 - SNS -- Area seeded to Durum wheat for 2022 is estimated at 1.98 million acres, up 21% from 2021, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates for 2022.
Idaho is the only estimating State expecting a decrease from last year. Area harvested for grain is expected to total 1.92 million acres, up 25% from last year. As of June 19, harvest in Arizona was 76% complete, 10 percentage points ahead of the 5-year average pace.
