PANAMA - Jun 17/22 - SNS -- Global lentil markets finished the week's trading on an easier note as end users are now focussed on new crop supplies from the northern hemisphere.
Seeding is considered complete in most of the northern hemisphere growing areas, with markets generally optimistic about the overall yield potential of this year's crops.
Areas of concern remain, but there is no expectation these will have a material impact on what may be harvested this year. However, a greater question is whether farmers stuck with their seeding intentions, adding important to the June 30 USDA and July 5 Statistics Canada seeded area estimates.
