Spain's Confection Sunflower Imports Post Soft Month

PANAMA - Jun 16/22 - SNS -- Imports of confection sunflowers by Spain were well down, plunging relative to the previous month in April, available data from Eurostat shows.

Total imports for the month amounted to 28,216 metric tons (MT), down 20% from the previous month's total of 35,245. So far imports have amounted to 124,839 MT, up from 77,723 during the previous calendar year.

During the month, France was the most important export origin, selling 23,116 MT. China was the second most important supplier shipping 3,150 MT, followed by Argentina at 684 MT.
