Canada's Red Lentil Exports Record Better Oucome
PANAMA - Jun 7/22 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year posted a better performance, with red lentil export shipments for Canada were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in April, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales during the month reached 47,007 metric tons (MT), up from 37,284 MT the prior month. This boosted export sales so far during the marketing year to 598,028, down 45% last year.
Recent movement statistics revealed Turkey was top consumer, buying 37,238 MT during the month. Pakistan was the second most important buyer taking 2,017 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 1,605 MT.
