Green Lentil Exports From Canada Extend Weak Trend
PANAMA - Jun 7/22 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year continued their weaker trend, with green lentil export shipments for Canada eased relative to the previous month in April, judging from the most recent data from Statistics Canada.
Exports totalled 22,027 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 7% from the 23,656 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 225,020 MT, compared to 333,411 during the previous marketing year.
United Arab Emirates was the top importer for the month, receiving 5,952 MT. Algeria was the second most important buyer receiving 3,022 MT, followed by Morocco at 2,073 MT.
