Australia's Chickpea Exports Post Improved Result
PANAMA - Jun 2/22 - SNS -- Shipments of chickpeas from Australia rose slightly compared to the previous month in April, official trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reveals.
Export sales for the month totalled 31,499 metric tons (MT), up from 30,383 MT the prior month. This boosted movement so far during the marketing year to 350,951, down 38% last year.
In the month, Bangladesh was the biggest buyer, receiving 15,941 MT. Nepal was the second most important consumer buying 4,933 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 2,418 MT.
