Birdseeds Hold Firm
PANAMA - May 27/22 - SNS -- Birdseed markets remained firm throughout the past week against tightening on farm stocks and continued strength in grains and oilseeds.
Seeding progress continues to be compromised in Canada and parts of the United States because of unusually cool and wet weather conditions, raising doubts about the final area for many ingredients.
In Canada, available data suggests the week started with 48% of the canaryseed crop in the ground, compared to 83% at the same time last.
