Australia's Broadbean Exports Start With Soft Note

PANAMA - May 5/22 - SNS -- Australia's shipments of broadbeans in March posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Export sales totalled 53,736 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 51% from the 109,861 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 350,596 MT, versus 371,240 in the same period the last marketing year.

The most recent trade statistics reported Egypt was top buyer, buying 43,305 MT. Saudi Arabia was the second most important destination receiving 3,411 MT, followed by Indonesia at 2,131 MT.
