Canada's Lentil Exports Post A Improved Performance
PANAMA - May 4/22 - SNS -- Canada's exports of lentils in March posted major improvement, leaping versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments totalled 83,729 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 150% from the 33,462 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 955,048 MT, versus 1,594,961 during the last marketing year.
Current movement statistics showed United Arab Emirates was number one destination, taking 34,530 MT in the month. United States was the second most important buyer buying 9,333 MT, followed by Colombia at 4,867 MT.
