Canada's Green Lentil Exports Post A Firm Result
PANAMA - May 4/22 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year posted a a better performance, with green lentil shipments for Canada were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in March, according to statistics from Statistics Canada.
Total shipments in the month amounted to 23,656 metric tons (MT), up 51% from the previous month's total of 15,664. So far movement has amounted to 202,993 MT, down from 311,864 during the last marketing year.
United Arab Emirates was the top consumer during the month, taking 5,434 MT. Colombia was the second most important consumer receiving 2,968 MT, followed by Morocco at 2,487 MT.
