Turkey's Lentil Imports Start With Soft Tendency

PANAMA - May 3/22 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year on a weaker tendency, with lentil imports for Turkey posted massive declines, sinking compared to the previous month in February, according to official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports during the month totalled 16,605 metric tons (MT), down from 51,006 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 67,611, down 9% last year.

The most recent movement data reported Canada was number one export origin, selling 10,095 MT. Russia was the second most important supplier supplying 3,268 MT, followed by Australia at 1,368 MT.
