Turkey's Lentil Exports Open With Firm Note
PANAMA - May 3/22 - SNS -- Turkey's export shipments of lentils in February made modest gains, rising compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Movement reached 41,465 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 14% from the 36,514 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 77,979 MT, versus 50,383 during the last calendar year.
Iraq was the most important destination, taking 14,985 MT. Sudan was the second most important importer buying 7,625 MT, followed by Eritrea at 4,000 MT.
