Mustard Intentions Below Hopes
PANAMA - Apr 29/22 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets maintained their strong tone through the past week despite the intention of Canadian growers to increase seeded area from 308,200 acres last year to 457,000.
Unchanged, a return to average yields would see production advance from around 56,300 to 144,000 metric tons (MT). this year.
Residual stocks of mustard seed have fallen sharply this season, with the result available supplies in Canada may only advance from last season's record low 96,300 MT to 151,000.
