Mustard Firm Before Intentions Estimate
PANAMA - Apr 22/22 - SNS -- Few changes were noted in North American mustard seed markets during the past week, reflecting limited selling interest by growers and hand to mouth demand from importers.
Markets are keen to see the Statistics Canada's April 30 seeding intentions estimates. Strong interest among farmers in signing production contracts for this year's crop suggests there should be a fairly significant increase in plantings.
There is a chance area could climb from 308,200 to 496,000 acres. A return to average yields would see production advance from around 56,300 to 156,000 metric tons (MT).
